This is my take on a "Thoughts from Places" video a la the Vlogbrothers.

In this video, I talk about how I felt when I realized that I was both away from home, and also still home at the same time. How I missed things and people even as I was with them. I recorded this video while on a 24 hour trip to NYC to visit some of my favorite writing friends, as well as my literary agent, and my editor and editorial team at Spencer Hill Contemporary during Book Expo America 2013 (BEA).
This is the first of a new (occasional) feature on my channel, "I've been thinking..." I hope that my tribute to one of my favorite creative contributions to nerdfighteria is interesting and moving, as all of Hank and John's respective TFP (Thoughts From Places) videos are to me.
The music in this video is song "So Long" performed by Wedding Day Rain (my band with super husband and genius behind this melodic beauty, Daron Macke.)
