The Long Reach is a 2D side scrolling horror thriller with a sci-fi twist and some serious psychological mind games. The game play is simple enough and the setting and atmosphere that you find yourself thrust into does a great job of immediately putting you on edge. Right from the beginning the game generates an almost claustrophobic sense of unease. I did find the problem solving aspect of the game to be a little too abstract at times, especially when the game asks you to take very little direction and somehow deduce a very specific action in order to move onto the next section. However that may just be something that becomes easier with practice. Considering I grabbed this title for Steam via HumbleBundle, based off of what I've played I think it was well worth the cost.
