Before Kiros attacks Mufasa, Taka snaps back into common sense and stands with his brother. He gets his scar and names himself after it, but it is a reminder of his victory rather than his betrayal. The animals of Milele appoint them both to be their kings, but Mufasa is having some doubts - so Scar is there to quell them.
