Okay y’all, here’s the thing. This isn’t a surprise for me, and it probably isn’t a surprise for you, but I’m gonna explain a few things. When I started this channel 2 years ago, I was a sophomore in high school and 15 years old. Now I’m 18 and leaving for college in about a month. Times change, and it’s not a bad thing. I knew that once I went to college, I probably wouldn’t continue my channel, but there’s more going on than that. I love editing more than anything, so much so that I’m going into film and media production this year.
I just can’t edit dm anymore. I’ve always hated the show and everything it stands for, but I loved the dancing and editing it, so I stayed. I told myself that I was doing this to support the girls and not the show. The problem is that I don’t support the majority of the girls now. I haven’t in awhile. So what am I still doing here? Well, y’all are the reason I’ve held on so long. This fandom, while it has its flaws, has helped me through so much. I always knew this fandom was a place I could go to relax and share my passion for editing. I just can’t anymore. I don’t wanna let y’all down, I really don’t, but this just ain’t me anymore. I’ve been enjoying editing other shows (including the edit in this video which took me 4 goddamn days for less than 30 seconds lmao). I might post some of that here, and I’ll also post some stuff on my revamped insta (boulevardxedits), so this isn’t goodbye for good. I’ll still be active on discord and feel free to message me on my personal insta, I check that more. I’ll comment on your videos, and who knows, maybe I’ll post the occasional dm vid. I’m not gonna delete any videos, but I am gonna change my name. I might start a tutorial channel if y’all want to know how I did some of the transitions I made in this video (I figured it all out myself, no tutorials hence the 4 days haha).
In the end, it’s time for me to leave. I mean damn, I’m an adult now, how’d that happen? I love y’all, and I’ll never forget any of you. Here’s a couple dedications:
Ziegler Rumfallo: laurennn I don’t think I’d still be in this fandom without you. You’re my closest fandom friend, and have been ever since the prehistoric age of yt contacts. You’re the one person that I know I can talk to about anything and everything and won’t be judged.
Dancing Gamer: oh arii, ik you haven’t been in this fandom for awhile and we don’t talk as much as we used to, but I’ll never forget our Lucifer ramblings and we literally got to meet irl, how crazy is that? (It’s time…for…)
Silver Spoons: chloeee ilysm! You’ve made such a big impact on me, pushing me to be a better editor and all the while being incredibly sweet. I mean after all, who else can I laugh about the adventures of Nutella and jelly with? (We gotta finish that… okay not with those names but the actual secret project)
Glitz and Glamour: Jane, you’re one of the most talented and creative people I’ve ever come across. I know we don’t talk much anymore, but your comments on my videos always lit up my day, and I hope your having a good post-high school adventure :)
Ladies ALDC: Hannah, whenever I need someone who will listen to my random nonsense, you’re my girl. You know more about me than a lot of people irl do, and I know I can trust you with anything. Never be scared to be yourself queen, you’re amazing.
Fragile Forest ALDC: Annette, I’ve been there since you were a wee little hatchling, and watching you grow has been one of my favorite experiences of these past 2 years. Never give up queen, you deserve the world and more.
