Your child's school probably has a photo/media policy, most parents just don't know it exists. Save these steps so you can help protect your child as they head into a new school year:

✅ Go back through the beginning-of-year forms and look for a photo/social media consent form or question.

✅ No opt-out form? Email the school directly and ask them to note your request in writing. Many public schools don't have a formal form, but they'll still honor a written request.

✅ Ask when it needs to be renewed. Some opt-outs might reset every school year.

✅ Remind teachers and coaches directly!

✅ Keep an eye on the school’s social media accounts. Even with an opt-out request on file, mistakes happen.
