As airspeed decreases, the outside wing (the one traveling faster) keeps producing more lift than the inside wing. That difference gets bigger at slower speeds… which means the airplane wants to keep rolling into the turn. That’s overbanking tendency.
So what do we do? Add a touch of opposite aileron to hold the bank you want, while maintaining coordinated rudder.
It’s not fighting the airplane. it’s fine-tuning it.
Slow airspeed + turning flight = cross-controlled inputs to stay smooth, stable, and precise.
