I’m sharing easy decorative ideas and simple painting techniques for the shabby chic aesthetic, and showcasing how to use textures, colors and embellishments to create beautiful mixed media tags and journaling cards for the shabby style junk journal.

I’ll give you step by step instructions to use basic supplies that you probably already have. Paper, acrylic paint and gel stains, texture paste with brushes, stencils and a sponge —easily gathered from around your craft space to create beautifully shabby textures that add depth and character to your projects. Use these techniques on background papers, tags, cards and other elements for the journal.
