MapleStory global or GMS is turning 20 years old this year! And Nexon for this special occasion decided to drop a bombshell of an announcement today! Forget your daily quests for a second, because this is HUGE. We're talking about a brand-spankin' new class, the Mo Xuan class, special events.
Nexon America started its own development team to work on MapleStory global, and earlier today they announced that their team is working on a classic world server, exclusively for maplestory global. They even brought back one one of the team leads that worked on classic maplestory!
The team is working on a faithful edition of old school maplestory with some quality of life changes! Its a recreation of the old school experience but the team is also looking towards the future and will listen carefully to player feedback. Well my only feedback is buff pages! More details will be shared in the 2nd half of 2025 and the official announcement will be done at MapleCon 2025 in the end of october.
