Fucking tore my heart out with this episode ugh (MY POOR ADRINETTE SHIPPING HEART WHY DID THEY DO THIS UGH)
SO I made this in literally two nights because you know, angst gets me on a ROLL (have I mentioned that angst is like,, my favourite thing because I love suffering??? No??)
So, I really don’t ship Adrigami or Lukanette (Love square all the way!), so honestly, I’m just going off on how Marinette feels. The poor girl loves Adrien so much she puts his happiness over her own, because she knows Kagami loves him too and thinks they’d be happy together.

quick notes for you all before anything else; the lip-sync is very clearly off, and the animation is wonky as hell, but this is just a sketch and i didn’t put much time into lip-syncing anything, sorry about that. also, don’t hesitate to ask what any scene is showing!!

anyway! onto the basic gist of what’s happening in this amv;
this whole thing happens in my mcu-but-i-like-it-better au. the only changes in this au is that pepper doesn’t exist because i don’t like her, she’s replaced by petra who is strictly a business woman only focused on her career (aka what i wish pepper was). tony doesn’t have a gf and morgan isn’t born (which is sad since i like morgan, but i really don’t like pepperony so she unfortunately can’t really exist). before infinity war, like a month after homecoming, may dies in some way (this au i very loose and just made for my fanfics and fanart, please bare with me) so tony basically has to adopt peter. they become father and son, like, might as well have been biologically with how dad-son-ish they are lol. when peter dusts, tony moves into the cabin alone, struck by grief at losing his son. he barely copes, so instead of there being a five-year gap there’s just a two-year gap since tony basically goes; i have nothing to lose anymore, let’s get my kid back”
when endgame happens, pretty much everything is the same, except peter’s the only one crying over tony as he dies, pepper isn’t there. (i mean, rhodey and others also cry but they’re not trying to physically hold on to him unlike peter.) after his father dies, peter basically now lives alone in the cabin with petra running si, who he’s inherited now. he can’t bear that he’s lost ANOTHER parent - so he refuses to accept it. if tony had invented time travel, then so could he. his plan is to find captain marvel, since she’s strong enough to survive the snap (you can’t change my mind, she totally could).
tony, being a ghost and watching over his son, is for obvious reasons unhappy with this - so, he tells peter not to do it in a dream he has. peter can’t accept this, because he *needs* to save tony, so he runs away, aka forces the dream to end, before tony can explain that there’s only one possible way for this outcome.
peter manages to make the time machine. his plan is still to find captain marvel, but he’s realised he may need a backup plan - so he designs his suit to be able to hold infinity stones as well, just in case. he travels back in time, which tony can’t stop him from doing since he’s a ghost, but he ends up traveling to a bit later than he’d wanted. he doesn’t have time to get captain marvel, so he has to snap himself.
right before tony’s about to take the gauntlet (remember, peter’s seen this before so he knows what everyone will do), he snatches all the stones and snaps himself. tony is obviously horrified when he sees his son basically about to die, but he isn’t quick enough to stop him.
tony doesn’t remember what he saw as a ghost, since that timeline is basically erased now and it didn’t happen to him, so he thinks he can’t save peter whatever he tries to do. in essence, he thinks that peter can’t survive thanos in any way, and it doesn’t matter what tony does to try and prevent it
dr strange is obviously hella confused because,, this wasn’t one of the outcomes he saw wtf??? but the thing is, he only *saw* 14 million possibilities, he may have missed some. and honestly, what can he do? tell tony that; oh yeah you were supposed to die not your kid lol”
so yeah. :) have fun thinking up what happens to tony after all this trauma lol
