Alrighty, hello all you wonderful people, SpartanWarrior5 here today.
The topic for discussion is player customization.
This is something that has been announced to be included in both Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghosts. Not too sure about any other games, but those two for sure.
I'm incredibly excited for this, mostly for two reasons.
1.) The gloves.
Yes, I said it, the gloves. I have this thing where if the gloves of my character aren't "cool" or what I like, I tend to not do as good. I need to have gloves on my character that I like to do good.
That's been the trend with me at least.
For example, in this game I prefer to be the U.S. team over the Russians, mostly because of the gloves the U.S. team wears.
Also, in Modern Warfare 2, I prefer the U.S. Rangers instead of the Russians, or Op For.
I could list off ALL the examples, but I think you guys get the picture.
I'm weird like this, so player customization might give me the chance to put on the gloves I want so I don't have this issue. Only time will tell though.
2.) No one will look exactly alike.
I'm getting really tired of seeing the same people on the battlefield, in any FPS game. It's boring to me, to see everyone looking EXACTLY alike.
People should be able to define their character, and show off what they like.
That to me is more realistic. You don't see people in the military today outfitted with the EXACT SAME GEAR.
No, they make their own modifications and alterations to their gear to what they like.
To me, this is a step ALL FPS games should be taking in the future.
But, what do you guys think? Is this something FPS games should be including as standard? How far should this go?
Plus, anyone else have the same feelings towards gloves as I do?
Any thoughts on that?
