When maps on a screen become real-life adventures and strangers become lifelong friends.
Since 2020, @atheneclub has been uniting women across the UK with one main motivation in mind – a desire to connect with nature. What formed was a like-minded community breaking the boundaries of walking culture.
We met co-founders Zaineb and Olivia and the rest of Athene Club on the Metropolitan line to Chesham. There, we found out how trips here have helped them to forge friendships and reconnect with nature in the most surprising of places.
