Our plan was simple: visit Mammoth Cave National Park and check off National Park number 12 this season… but things did not go as planned. This is the story of our Mammoth Bust and how Kentucky turned it into one of our most unexpected (and funniest) adventures of the year.
From attempting to dry camp where we definitely should not have, to relocating in the middle of the night and waking up in a school bus beehive at 4:57 AM, this episode had more twists than we could ever script.
But Kentucky came through.
We finally dipped a bottle at Maker’s Mark Distillery, explored Cave City, and hosted an amazing KYD Meet-Up and Pickleball Social with incredible people. Even when the National Park plan takes a turn, the adventure keeps going.
