This event took place over 20 years ago on the shores of lucky peak reservoir in the mountains of Idaho. I am still affected by the decisions that were made that day. There was a beautiful young girl with big blue eyes by my side that night. The evening breezes were cooler than normal but I could not feel them . We were surrounded by the voices and laughter of dear friends, but I could not hear them. The smell of the crackling fire filled the air, but I did not notice. This was the night, the night that would change my life forever. This is the night that I would propose to the beautiful blue eyed girl that was by my side. With my heart racing, I went into the water not knowing what the future would hold, but knowing that our God had a plan for us.
Twenty years later, this beautiful girl is now my wife, my best friend, and the mother of my children. I am blessed by her love and inspired by her strength.
