Since the video is a bit of a mess, I'd like to also put an abridged version of the video in the description.
It turns out that I broke my promise to myself about never returning to Minecraft modding. I helped BBS FS with bugs and features by using AI, everybody who mods BBS mod uses AI, until I stopped due to project vision disagreement.
So I've spent entire July making the official BBS 2 with Claude Fable and Opus, however, during that time, even though I have produced so many bug and crash fixes, I fell into a trap of productivity, and the approach I had with AI had caused me laziness and vague expression of my prompts.
After my Claude subscription has ran out, I've switched to Grok and used it so far primarily for counselling, review of my work, research in the codebase, and vibecoding itself was only a small part.
I feel like this is a better approach, even though I lose a lot of momentum. Those powerful models produce a lot of result, however, the speed comes at a cost of comprehension, and I realized that by the end of this July, that I have no idea what is going on in the code produced by Claude Fable and Opus.
Since I don't truly believe I have competition (forks don't really count since they have a different vision than I do), I am okay with going slower.
I am planning on releasing BBS 2 through Patreon. I really feel like with the way things are going, and what I've done for the community, that's a fair bargain.
So I guess, I'm back. I'm really happy with the result, and I'm happy with the way readjustment after vibe coding is going on. I still have a ton of reading to do, and clean up the source code from Fable and Opus spamming comments like crazy, while also learning new parts of the code, but I guess it's like Palworld, exploring new areas, haha.
Thanks for reading! I'm not 100% sure if what I wrote is 100% coherent, and flows naturally... I've been feeling very tired lately. It's been hard to sleep most of the nights. I can't go to bed earlier than 2 AM.
