Living in the Philippines has been an incredible experience, but every now and then you run into situations that just leave you shaking your head.
In this video, I take you along as April and I head out excited to buy two new TVs for our new house. Everything started off great—we found what we wanted, agreed on the deal, and were ready to pay. But what should’ve been a simple purchase quickly turned into a frustrating experience.
From long, unnecessary wait times… to confusing paperwork… to being completely ignored while someone stayed on their phone the entire time—it really made me question how business is sometimes handled here. The breaking point came when I couldn’t even clearly see what I was signing for, and instead of helping, things only got more uncomfortable.
At the end of the day, respect matters more than any purchase. Sometimes the best decision you can make is to walk away.
