Sitting 12,000 kilometers away in Chicago from India’s extraordinary youth uprising can be summed up with some levity as a clash between GenZ and GenOutdated.

What is different about the youth uprising, apart from the obvious one of it taking place in the era of frenzied social media, is that it is perhaps for the first time one notices signs of the dismantling India’s entrenched shibboleth of the elders always being right and wise.
