Israel has signaled that a new era of war is beginning as strikes have continued to be launched on southern Lebanon as recently as overnight.

The Israeli military says it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure sites and a weapons storage facility.

The strikes come after two days of attacks on wireless devices across Lebanon when walkie talkies and pagers used by members of Hezbollah exploded, killing dozens of people and injuring thousands.
