Joniversity | Israel: Nakba, Ethnic Cleansing and Palestinian Resistance @Joniversity | Uploaded May 2010 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
This clip whishes to explore the Palestinian - Israeli conflict in its historical contexts as articulated by Ishmael Khaldi an Arab Israeli.
As far as we know, in the beginning of the 20th century Jewish settlers came to Palestine and started a systematic ethnic cleansing of ALL the Arabs... The Arabs, driven by pure nationalistic aspirations (nothing to do with religion) fought the Jews, and the rest is History...
And yet, a minority of Arabs in Israel did help the early Jewish settlements and helped establishing the state of Israel. These Arabs later integrated into Israel. they serve in the IDF, They hold seats in political and judicial institutions, etc.
