Israel Adesanya Takes Credit For Alex Pereira's MMA Success..

Welcome back to Fightopia. Israel Adesanya thinks he’s done a lot for the career of his upcoming opponent, Alex Pereira. The UFC middleweight champion believes he’s partly responsible for Pereira’s quick rise to success in MMA, specifically the UFC. “Without me, he wouldn’t be here,” Adesanya said on The MMA Hour. Pereira has only been in the UFC for a year, and he’s already competing for a title.

While Pereira has won all three of his octagon appearances, Adesnaya’s head coach Eugene Bareman gave his thoughts on whether or not it’s too soon for the challenger to get his opportunity. “There’s no way he gets a title shot if there wasn’t history there; it’s ridiculous,” Bareman said on The MMA Hour.
