Set in Japan, when corrupt Mayor Kobayashi announces an Executive Decree declaring that all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump, his 12-yearold apprentice Atari Kobayashi sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies to Trash Island in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. With the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

Featuring an all-star ensemble voice cast, including Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson, Liev Schreiber, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Ken Watanbe, Harvey Keitel, Yoko Ono and Bob Balaban.
