Winter Storm Hernando is bearing down on New England, and when my wife noticed that Jim Cantore from The Weather Channel was reporting live from Plymouth, Massachusetts, we decided—last-minute—to take a family trip to try and find him!

We headed straight to Plymouth Rock, where he had been broadcasting earlier. After walking around the waterfront, battling the cold wind, and searching everywhere with no luck, we decided to make the most of the evening and grab dinner at the iconic Lobster Hut.

But then… while watching The Weather Channel on my phone during dinner, my wife heard them announce they were going LIVE with Jim Cantore in Plymouth. We rushed outside, got in the car, —and YES—we actually found him broadcasting right near the Lobster Hut!

Thrilling Theme Park Rides Fast Tracks & Twisters!

Come along with me for a crazy and eventful week filled with family, cycling, livestreaming, football, cheerleading, and some seriously WET weather here in Rhode Island!

The week starts with me livestreaming a ride for the **Great Cycle Challenge**, supporting the fight against childhood cancer. After the ride, I meet up with the family at **Seekonk Grand Prix** for some family fun.

Then things take a VERY different turn when we head to **Cranston Stadium in Cranston, Rhode Island**, where Maddie is cheerleading at a Pop Warner football game. The rain came down hard, the streets started flooding, and conditions got so bad that we decided it was time to leave the game early.

I also captured some footage of the drive home as we dealt with the heavy rain and flooding on the roads.

This is one of those weeks where you never quite know what the day is going to bring!

🚴‍♂️ **GREAT CYCLE CHALLENGE**
A big part of this vlog includes my ride and livestream supporting the Great Cycle Challenge and its mission to fight childhood cancer.

A fun family meetup after the cycling ride.

🏈 **POP WARNER FOOTBALL + CHEERLEADING**
Maddie was cheerleading at Cranston Stadium in Cranston, RI, but the weather had other plans!

The rain became intense enough that flooding started affecting the streets around us, so we headed home early. I included some footage from the drive home so you can see just how bad the conditions became.

Flooded Roads & Cancelled Football Games Insane Storm

Come along with me for a crazy and eventful week filled with family, cycling, livestreaming, football, cheerleading, and some seriously WET weather here in Rhode Island!

The week starts with me livestreaming a ride for the **Great Cycle Challenge**, supporting the fight against childhood cancer. After the ride, I meet up with the family at **Seekonk Grand Prix** for some family fun.

Then things take a VERY different turn when we head to **Cranston Stadium in Cranston, Rhode Island**, where Maddie is cheerleading at a Pop Warner football game. The rain came down hard, the streets started flooding, and conditions got so bad that we decided it was time to leave the game early.

I also captured some footage of the drive home as we dealt with the heavy rain and flooding on the roads.

This is one of those weeks where you never quite know what the day is going to bring!

We took the family to Swansea Town Beach in Swansea, Massachusetts to kick off Labor Day Weekend! 🌊🌅

Instead of eating dinner at home, we decided to make the evening a little more special and bring dinner to the beach. Before heading to the water, we stopped at Audrey’s Market & Deli in Swansea, MA to pick up some delicious food for our beach dinner.

Then it was off to Swansea Town Beach for some family time, beach views, good food, and the perfect way to start Labor Day Weekend in Massachusetts!

|Welcome back to another week in our lives! This week’s vlog has a little bit of everything—from getting back into fall baseball and cheerleading to starting my bike rides for the Great Cycle Challenge, a quick shopping trip to BJ’s Wholesale Club, and an incredibly unexpected and emotional moment involving an airplane I personally rented and flew as a private pilot.

⚾️ Fall baseball is back! Zach is getting back on the field, and it’s always exciting watching him start another season.

📣 Maddie is back to cheerleading! We’re also cheering her on as she gets back into her routine.

🚴 The Great Cycle Challenge begins! I’m getting back on my bike and continuing my efforts to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and support children and families affected by cancer. Every mile and every donation makes a difference.

🛒 There’s also a quick stop at BJ’s Wholesale Club for some shopping and everyday family life.

✈️ But then came the part of the week I NEVER expected…

I learned that an airplane I had rented and flown in the past as a private pilot was involved in a tragic crash over the weekend that resulted in two fatalities. It was an incredibly shocking thing to hear, especially knowing that I had personally flown that aircraft before.

This vlog is a look at a very normal week of family life that suddenly took an unexpected and emotional turn.

|Welcome back to another week in our lives! This week’s vlog has a little bit of everything—from getting back into fall baseball and cheerleading to starting my bike rides for the Great Cycle Challenge, a quick shopping trip to BJ’s Wholesale Club, and an incredibly unexpected and emotional moment involving an airplane I personally rented and flew as a private pilot.

⚾️ Fall baseball is back! Zach is getting back on the field, and it’s always exciting watching him start another season.

📣 Maddie is back to cheerleading! We’re also cheering her on as she gets back into her routine.

🚴 The Great Cycle Challenge begins! I’m getting back on my bike and continuing my efforts to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and support children and families affected by cancer. Every mile and every donation makes a difference.

🛒 There’s also a quick stop at BJ’s Wholesale Club for some shopping and everyday family life.

✈️ But then came the part of the week I NEVER expected…

I learned that an airplane I had rented and flown in the past as a private pilot was involved in a tragic crash over the weekend that resulted in two fatalities. It was an incredibly shocking thing to hear, especially knowing that I had personally flown that aircraft before.

This vlog is a look at a very normal week of family life that suddenly took an unexpected and emotional turn.

Instead of eating dinner at home, we decided to make the evening a little more special and bring dinner to the beach. Before heading to the water, we stopped at Audrey’s Market & Deli in Swansea, MA to pick up some delicious food for our beach dinner.

We took the family to Swansea Town Beach in Swansea, Massachusetts to kick off Labor Day Weekend! 🌊🌅

Instead of eating dinner at home, we decided to make the evening a little more special and bring dinner to the beach. Before heading to the water, we stopped at Audrey’s Market & Deli in Swansea, MA to pick up some delicious food for our beach dinner.

Then it was off to Swansea Town Beach for some family time, beach views, good food, and the perfect way to start Labor Day Weekend in Massachusetts!

April vacation turned into one unforgettable week for our family ❤️

It started on the baseball field as Zach stepped up to the plate and hit his FIRST HOME RUN EVER ⚾ — a moment we’ll never forget!

From there, real life kicked in as I headed to the oral surgeon for a bone graft procedure in preparation for a future dental implant 😬 (not as fun… but part of the journey!).

Then came the highlight of the week — a full family day trip to Boston!

We hopped aboard the MBTA Commuter Rail and explored:

🔬 Museum of Science — hands-on fun for the whole family
🦆 Boston Duck Tours — our FIRST time ever on land and water!
🍽️ Quincy Market — food, desserts, and ice cream to end the day

We wrapped it all up with a relaxing train ride back home — tired, happy, and full of memories.

After being snowed in for days during a massive New England storm, we finally escaped the house and headed to North Park in Fall River, Massachusetts for some much-needed fresh air — and sledding! ❄️🛷

The kids were bored, the storm was huge… and somehow I ended up showing off my “legendary” sledding skills for the first time in over 30 years. 😂

This turned what could’ve been another stuck-inside day into one of the most fun family moments we’ve had in a long time. Come along for the laughs, the wipeouts, the nostalgia, and the New England winter vibes!
