Have you ever wondered if your ordinary life is being wasted?
Many Christians look at pastors, missionaries, church leaders, and public ministries and wonder if what they do every day really matters for the kingdom of God. They go to work, pay bills, raise children, care for aging parents, mow lawns, wash dishes, and repeat the same routines week after week. It can be easy to assume that meaningful kingdom work belongs to someone else.
In Acts 18:18-28, Luke shifts our attention away from apostles and miracles and places it upon a faithful husband and wife named Priscilla and Aquila. They were tentmakers by trade, but God used their ordinary lives, ordinary home, and ordinary faithfulness to disciple others, strengthen the church, and help shape the ministry of one of the most gifted preachers in the New Testament.
This passage reminds us that there are no insignificant saints in the kingdom of God. Christ strategically places His people, gifts them for His purposes, and uses seemingly ordinary acts of faithfulness to accomplish extraordinary kingdom work.
