I went to WordCamp US 2026 in Phoenix, where ticket sales were down for the second year in a row and everyone was asking the same question: is WordPress dying? I don't think it is. WordPress lost about 3% market share over the last 12 months, but what I saw in that room convinced me the use case is getting more specific, not disappearing. Headless builds, vibe coded front ends, and AI reading your site to learn about your business all point the same direction.
