Tim rounds up some of his more bizarre bottles and bottle-themed items...
An Australian company called 'Frozen Moments' created a range of novelty items about 40 years ago, and Tim has a few in his collection. This one shows a liqueur being poured into a glass, with the liquid stream 'frozen' in mid air.
From a French vineyard called The Crooked Vine, and - the clue is in the name - a crooked bottle!
Fancy jackets for a bottle of wine, adding a little bit of je ne sais quoi... and a little figure (which looks a lot like Tim!) that fits over the top the the bottle, and has a range of pre-recorded messages, such as 'join the party' and 'are you taking me to another bottle?'
A Harry Eng bottle, an early model with knotted rope inside the bottle. The knot appears to be much too large to fit through the neck of the bottle, so presumably the knot was tied inside the bottle. But how did he do that? The late Harry Eng did not share that information.
And another 'impossible bottle' - a wooden rod has been inserted into the bottle, and then a long screw has been inserted into the rod at right angles, so clearly the rod can no longer be removed from the bottle. Another mystery.
A spare corkscrew that comes inside a bottle. Not clear how that got in there, nor how to remove it. I guess we will just have to stay thirsty!
A bottle with several Rubik cubes inside, and finally a bottle of Malibu that dances whenever you make a noise. As Tim says, these are all bottles which are a bit of fun.
