I’m not gonna pretend like I’m a huge My Singing Monsters fan but I did play a bit of it a few years ago and this trend reminded me that this game exists and so I’m playing again. It’s pretty neat! Didn’t know that some songs had lyrics but it’s a pleasant surprise
PMD is one of the first games I ever played and it tore 8 year old me’s soul apart. I remember bawling my eyes out at the ending haha
This animation isn’t about the game’s ending though, it’s about Grovyle! He’s probably one of my favorite characters from anything ever. I meant to include him in my Tripper part, but I ran out of space rippppp
All of the animation assets for this were completed in 2022, while most the editing was done in 2023. I started this a month or so ago and finished the intro, then laid it aside for a few weeks before I impulsively decided: hey wouldnt it be funny if I finished this thing in two days? And so I did, the entire second half of this was done in one day, which is light speed for someone like me haha some parts look wonky either because I rushed it or ToonBoom just wouldnt cooporate with me oh well

I still cant believe I did most of this in one 6 hour sitting while live streaming. I wish could be this productive more often o.o

Characters:
Okui (the one-eyed dude)
The other dude who doesnt have a name yet (the one with three eyes)
Story: (warning: not fully developed yet and may sound confusing)
So Okui and that other guy were criminals (because they were poor and didnt have any money), but one day Okui met this one girl (youll see her pretty soon) and began to really like her. He wanted to change for her and become a better person. He wanted to stop committing crimes, but was afraid to tell his friend, in fear he would call him weak or a wimp or something like that.
In that moment his demon started talking to him. Saying that he should just betray him, let the police catch him and get away safely. First, Okui wasnt happy with the idea at all, but then did it. He left his own and only friend behind and got away. In the end he realized what stupid mistake he had made and still regrets it to this day.
