BMW R1300RT Review: The Best Touring Bike We've Ever Ridden? 🏍️
We spent some time with the BMW R1300RT, and Ross reckons it's the best touring bike he's ever ridden. But is it worth over $40,000? We break down everything you need to know.

🔥 What We Loved:
✅ Automatic gearbox with ASA (Automated Shift Assistant) - game changer!
✅ Insanely comfortable for rider AND pillion
✅ Adaptive cruise control that actually works
✅ Electronic windscreen (finally tall enough for 6'5" riders!)
✅ Telelever suspension - nothing gets through
✅ Surprisingly sporty handling for such a big bike
✅ Heated grips, heated seat, heated backrest
✅ External speakers (yes, really!)
✅ Expandable panniers & massive top box
✅ Brilliant TFT display with programmable buttons
⚠️ What Could Be Better:
❌ Switch blocks aren't backlit (seriously, BMW?)
❌ No reverse gear at this price point
❌ Control wheel takes getting used to
❌ SO many electronics - what if something breaks?
❌ Wide for filtering (but it's a tourer, so...)
The R1300RT comes with a 1300cc boxer engine that's smoother and more powerful than the R1250RT it replaces. The auto mode is absolutely brilliant - you can still shift manually when you want, but why would you?
