Does this Doctor Who episode need a remake?!
THIS WEEK we kick on with the Sarah Jane Adventures reviews, this time reviewing 'The Empty Planet.' Also we have a bumper edition of Mail Time, answering you're burning questions!
The Empty Planet was the fourth serial of series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was written by Gareth Roberts and directed by Ashley Way. It focused on Clyde and Rani, including at least one of the characters in nearly every scene. The events of this story also strengthened their personal connection, implying a possible romantic attraction. It was notable for its minimal cast and its heavy use of location filming.
Clyde and Rani are apparently the only survivors of the human race. The whole of Earth is empty – even Sarah Jane has vanished. A deserted London holds terrors of its own, mainly in the form of two mysterious and menacing robots.
The Sarah Jane Adventures is a British science fiction television programme produced by BBC Cymru Wales for CBBC, created by Russell T Davies, and starring Elisabeth Sladen. The programme is a spin-off of the long-running BBC science fiction programme Doctor Who, and the second primarily targeted towards children after Totally Doctor Who. It focuses on the adventures of Sarah Jane Smith, an investigative journalist living in Ealing, London, who, as a young woman, had numerous adventures across time and space with the Doctor. The show ran for five years until Sladen's death in 2011.
