The second unique Airbnb I stayed in my roadtrip was a Shephard’s Hut at the top of Antrim, hosted by Dunfin Farm. 🐑
This Airbnb listing requires a little bit of faith! On arrival at the Airbnb pin at the host’s home, host Eoin will then drive visitors further up the mountain where they will be given directions to hike the final twenty minutes to find the hut, tucked away on the side of the mountain. 🥾
Totally off-grid, expect no running water, no electricity and no wi-fi! The only running water comes from a rain shower in the outhouse, which also has a flushing toilet. Speaking of, the view from the outhouse is incredible! 🌄
There’s plenty to do around the hut for hiking fans, or you can use the experience as a chance to unplug and relax. A camping stove is provided and any food brought with you can be stored in a cooler with fresh ice packs provided.
The next day, Eoin’s dad brought me around @dunfinfarm5956 and told me all about the experiences they offer - I’ll have to go back for the sheepdog experience and see some lambs being born! 🐑
