Specifically, the business of Steinway & Sons and some decisions they've made in recent years that I think every pianist, every piano buyer, and every music lover deserves to know about.
Steinway & Sons sent a legal letter to countless piano rebuilders. I received one. It threatened legal action against piano restoration professionals across the country, people who have spent their careers lovingly rebuilding these instruments. What was their crime? Putting the Steinway name back on a Steinway piano.
