Assassin's Creed Unity is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. Released in November 2014, it is set during the French Revolution in the streets, rooftops and catacombs of 18th-century Paris. The game follows Arno Dorian — a young man robbed of his adoptive father and cast out of the only home he's known — as he's drawn into the Assassin Brotherhood and a forbidden romance with Élise de la Serre, a Templar, the two of them caught on opposite sides of a centuries-old war between the Assassins' fight for liberty and the Templars' vision of order imposed from above.
