At RFShop we often get the creative question if there's really a difference between AU915 and US915, and more recently it has become much more of a discussion point with the introduction of the Helium network.
The answer is pretty straight-forward...it's significantly different and will not work. However, more than that it's also illegal in Australia due to other frequency / ACMA regulations and cellular / mobile phone operators using part of the spectrum currently used by the US915 band.
The short answer is simple...don't do it!
