Easy inputs, simplified controls, modern, whatever you wanna call it in fighting games the act of getting rid of motion controls in fighting games has been an increasing thing in fighting games in recent years. However upcoming fighting game Avatar Legends is bucking that trend with only classical motion inputs, and in fact in its tutorials its advising beginner players to learn advanced fighting game concepts out of the gate. The old modern controls argument has been done many times before but now there is some pushback in newer games against simplified inputs so where are we at now?
