We ride the new #Surron Hyper Bee, the first electric minibike from the brand. With three different test riders, young and older, we put this capable bike to the test and see what all the buzz is about.

The new Surron Hyper Bee changes the game for youth dirt bikes. If you look at the size and specs, it compares closely with the popular Kawasaki KLX110R, Honda CRF110F and Yamaha TT-R110E models. Like the new Hyper Bee, those bikes utilize 14-inch front / 12-inch rear wheels, have seat heights in the 26- to 27-inch range and MSRPs in the $2500 to $2900 range. But the #HyperBee has a few standout features. Besides the electric versus gas powerplant, the most notable feature is the weight of just 86 pounds, nearly half that of the next closest model (The Yamaha TT-R110E weighs 159 pounds). The Hyper Bee also has about 50 percent more suspension travel at 6.7 inches front and 7.3 inches rear, hydraulic disc brakes rather than drum brakes, and some other innovative features never seen on any motorcycle.
