A few years ago I was having lunch with photographer Sam Abell when we started discussing the idea of a "Journal Camera" — a camera carried not for assignments or professional work, but for documenting everyday life.
In this video, I explore that idea and why I believe the Panasonic L10 is one of the most compelling journal cameras available today. Rather than focusing on specifications, this is a conversation about the relationship we have with the cameras we choose to carry.
