When Apple Silicon came to the Mac with the M1 in 2020, it was hailed as a revolution, especially for the M1 MacBook Air which became an iconic machine.

A few months later, the iPad Pro got the M1 as well, but it’s not nearly as fondly remembered, despite what an incredible machine it was, and still is.

In this video, I revisit the M1 iPad Pro discussing how the hardware has held up, how dramatically the software has improved since launch, and whether it’s still worth buying, or upgrading from, in 2026.
