If Gentiles are grafted in through faith in Christ then they inherit the blessing and promise given to Abraham (Galatians 3:14). But if a Jew rejects Christ, then they are cut off, meaning they are disinherited from the blessing and the promise. The promise “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” no longer applies to that Jewish person because they are cut off, but does apply to the Gentile who believes.
They still are who they are. The Jew is still a Jew, the Gentile is still a Gentile. But the one has the promise and the other doesn’t. That’s the point.
Ted Cruz wants to make it sound like the unbelieving Jews have the promise and the believing Gentiles don’t. That’s unbiblical. And that’s what Tucker is calling B.S. on.
