Prawn here taking a look at what's included with the Great Hunts DLC for Icarus. I bought this as an add-on to put extra things into the base game, but also because I wanted to see what the mining armature was like and how much the obsidian added to the interest of the various tools you can make.
So in this review I'm essentially showing you what happens if you buy the Great Hunts DLC and nothing else. i.e. you have just the base game and the Great Hunts expansion. You don't get a new planet to explore, but you do get a bunch of new things including:
- More armour
- Obsidian tools to craft
- The quarrite gun
- Quarrite grenades
- And a bunch of other things.
The downside to the Great Hunts is you get a bunch of mission that you can't access without also having the other expansions. So although it adds some cool stuff to the game, it also doesn't give you everything without paying out more!
