Is the baptism of fire really a biblical teaching? Did anyone in the bible receive the baptism of fire? People often refer to the bible verse that says Jesus will baptise in the Holy Spirit and FIRE. They claim that the baptism of fire is something God intended for Christians. But is that true? Is the baptism of fire the same thing as the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Does the bible teach that we need to be baptised in fire in order to be on fire for God, or empowered by God?

I grew up in the Pentecostal church I've seen a lot of things but I've never seen anything that fits the description of Acts 2:1-2. Have you? If you're honest you will admit that you've not seen anything like that either.
