RevMatchTV | Is The 2021 Lexus RX450h The Hybrid SUV To Get? @revmatchtv | Uploaded April 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
The recent refresh to the Lexus RX540h F-Sport brings the luxury hybrid to near perfection. This on-road review covers the details you need to know. There are few hybrids in the medium sized SUV market and Lexus brings a compelling offering for to the luxury-SUV market. The interior is gorgeous and offsets the Grecian Water paint scheme.
The 2021 F Sport package is now an appearance package only. The handling package which inludes adaptive suspenion is extra.
The fit and finish is top notch as expected from Lexus. It soaks up bad road surfaces with grace and just a touch of firmness. The suspension has very good motion control and keeps the occupants comfortable for long drives. This is an excellent long distance car. The Mark Levinson audio system is pricey, but sounds excellent to my ears.
Motivation is supplied by a 3.5L 308hp V6 mated to the Lexus Hybrid drive system with a CVT transmission. The EPA mileage is 30mpg combined. I was not able to achieve that with my tester.
It's not quick, but acceleration is more than adquate for most. There are some downsides though which I explain in the video.
Base MSRP: $51,200
Mark Levinson audio system + 12.3" Navigation: $3,365
Moonroof: $1,350
As tested: $61,455
