During the recent state of play they announced the long rumoured God of War Trilogy remake. Not even a remake of the first two games like we thought, the entire trilogy. It remains to be seen how this will turn out, but for now, I don't give a damn. As a self-proclaimed God of War fanboy, I'm riding on cloud 9, and refuse to be brought down. Alongside that, they also Shadow dropped a brand new game in the series, God of War sons of Sparta. Which kind of feels like burying the lead, releasing a new Metroidvania God of war game about a young Kratos the same day as announcing you're bringing the beloved trilogy back in the modern age. But duty still calls, and my specific duty is trying to find out if this new Sons of Sparta game is worthy of the name God of War.
