Yes. The only reasons I would think someone would think otherwise is that they're trying too hard to be an intellectual or they lack social experiences. It's very important. Especially when you have all the time in the world to consume media. But if you're driven go for what you go for. That's more important. But connection in life shows you more than art ever could. Remember that.
