Is Proxmox SDN actually worth using in a home lab? In this video, I break down one of the most underrated features in Proxmox VE and show why Proxmox SDN can make managing multi-node clusters much easier. We look at how Proxmox SDN compares to VMware distributed switches, how centralized VLAN and VNET management works, and why this can help eliminate networking inconsistencies across cluster nodes. I also walk through a real Proxmox SDN configuration using VLAN zones and VNETs and show how quickly new networks become available across the entire cluster.
