Lumber isn't cheap, and pressure treated lumber is even more. I ran a 20-year test comparing treated vs untreated lumber.
Note that the pressure treated lumber in this pile would have likely been the Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA) type which is no longer used for residential use.
