Is PoE 2 An Attempt To Fix PoE 1's Problems?
Games getting a sequel is always an occasion rife with excitement and questions, and Path of Exile 2 was certainly no exception. Now, at some point one of the questions was “Why a sequel?” But back then, that was when Path of Exile 2 was basically just a souped version of version 4.0… which we then never got because Path of Exile 2 became its own game entirely.
Since its Early Access release there’s been lots of discussions that have been held about what it has done, both right and wrong. So far, one of the things that I think can be identified as one of the biggest rights of the game’s design (even if the execution is lacking a little bit) is that the game took a swing at redoing quite a few of the points of design within Path of Exile 1.
