Open Source software has a great advantage over proprietary one: it's free. However, some licenses like GNU GPL v3 can be invasive and in some cases, using GPL licensed code can have repercussions. The question is: should companies be scared of open source? Can they use Open Source code and not face the problem of having to release own work as open-source as well? Let's talk about this for a few minutes.
