My observation of this whole shindig is fairly straightforward:

Figures like Nick Fuentes rise in popularity because they accurately identify many cultural and political contradictions. The problem is that they do so while simultaneously pushing “white nationalism.”

This dynamic creates a trap. Anyone who echoes those same concerns is instantly branded a white nationalist, despite the fact that white nationalism hardly owns the monopoly on criticizing cultural decay or exposing corrupt political agendas.

Because of this stigma, many mainstream conservative voices end up over-correcting. In their attempt to avoid guilt by association, they go so far as to validate aspects of progressive narratives and policy frameworks, rather than plainly acknowledging their harmful consequences.

Whether Fuentes is fully aware of it or not, the net effect of his movement feels indistinguishable from the kind of reactionary, manufactured opposition we’ve seen before; often fueled by fed-backed operations, which historically have served only to accelerate the advance of progressivism rather than halt it.
