Can we truly know God through creation? Or has sin so corrupted humanity that natural theology is impossible?
In Lesson 6 of this Systematic Theology series, Bill Roach, Ph.D. examines one of the most significant discussions in Reformed theology: the relationship between general revelation, special revelation, and natural theology.
Beginning with Scripture, we'll explore the biblical foundation for natural theology in passages such as Psalm 19, Romans 1, Acts 14, and Acts 17. We'll then consider common objections that have been raised against natural theology, particularly within the presuppositional tradition, and evaluate them from the perspective of the historic classical Reformed position represented by theologians such as John Calvin, Charles Hodge, R. C. Sproul, and John Gerstner.
The goal of this lesson is not controversy for its own sake, but to understand how God's revelation in creation and His revelation in Scripture complement one another in revealing the truth about Himself.
