In this video, I break down the latest development in the O’Keefe civil case involving Karen Read. The plaintiffs want Aidan Kearney—better known as Turtleboy—compelled to appear for his deposition, and they are also requesting contempt, deposition costs and attorney’s fees.
I’ll show you what Judge Gildea actually ordered, what the plaintiffs are asking for and why Turtleboy’s situation appears different from what happened with other witnesses who missed or interrupted their depositions.
Here is the important distinction: based on the documents I reviewed, contempt and sanctions have been requested—but they have not been granted.
