If you’re over 40, or have heart disease or other risk factors, ask your doctor how often you should have your cholesterol checked. If you’re a healthy adult over 20, you should be getting a cholesterol screening every 4 – 6 years. If high LDL (bad) cholesterol is left unchecked, it can lead to heart attack or stroke. Don’t wait. A simple blood test can tell you your numbers.
