Can NON NATURAL Causation Occur? Is it true that causation only works the way we usually experience it in our life? Natural causation occurs when a cause produces an effect whereas the cause must occur prior to the effect. Therefore, natural causation only makes sense when a concept of time already exists. But for a concept of time to exist, we first need the existence of spacetime. In other words, spacetime must be given before we can even start talking about causation. Therefore, spacetime cannot have a cause. Therefore, God, defined as the necessary uncaused cause of spacetime, cannot exist. This atheist objection is flawed by several logical fallacies.
